What you will be doing!

- Planning, organizing, leading, and coordinating all project disciplines and work activities to support successful project delivery.
- Implementing project management tools, methodologies, and best practices to achieve project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensuring safety, quality, environmental, and health requirements are incorporated into project plans and designs.
- Managing changes to project scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder impacts while maintaining alignment with approved project baselines.
- Identifying project risks, challenges, and barriers and developing effective mitigation strategies.
- Reporting project progress, performance, and key updates to senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
- Establishing project priorities and coordinating responsibilities across multiple work packages and interfaces.
- Executing contract and procurement strategies while managing complex contractor and vendor relationships.
- Leading teams of CNL staff, consultants, contractors, and vendors to achieve project objectives.
- Building and sustaining a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
- Inspiring teams to deliver quality results safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Defining team roles, responsibilities, objectives, and performance expectations.
- Mentoring, coaching, and developing team members in project management, leadership, and business delivery practices.
- Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, regulators, and community representatives to support project success.
- Supporting compliance with federal and provincial regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What We Are Looking For

- Education
- Degree or diploma from a recognized college or university in Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Experience

- Eight (8) or more years of progressively responsible project management experience, preferably supporting large construction and/or remediation projects.
- Experience supervising contractors, consultant engineers, and vendors performing field work and construction activities.
- Experience leading large, multi-year projects with significant budgets, multiple work packages, and numerous stakeholder interfaces.
- Experience using project management software, tools, and industry best practices to plan, execute, monitor, and control projects.

- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Demonstrated project management expertise in planning,



budgeting, scheduling, resourcing, contract management, and executive-level reporting.
- Applied knowledge of project management principles including scope, cost, schedule, quality, communications, human resources, risk, procurement, and integration management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and deliver results in complex project environments.
- Strong leadership, team-building, coaching, and consensus-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships while maintaining professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information to senior leaders, clients, regulatory agencies, and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proven ability to assess risks, evaluate alternatives, and make sound decisions in a dynamic project environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage contracts, procurement activities, and vendor relationships.

- Security Clearance Eligibility Required

- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions

- Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.

The CNL Historic Waste Program Management Office and the Port Hope Area Initiative projects are situated on the traditional lands of the Williams Treaties First Nations, specifically the Gunshot Treaty negotiated between the Crown and Mississauga Nation during the 1780s and represented today by the Williams Treaties First Nations.

Nations are also signatories to various 18th and 19th century treaties that covered lands in different parts of south-central Ontario. In 1923, the Mississauga First Nations and the Chippewa First Nations consisting of Rama, Beausoleil and Georgina Island signed the Williams Treaties and together, over 90 years later in June 2018, joined to ensure that their rights and the relationship with these lands are respected through a renewed agreement with Canada and the province of Ontario. The area in which we are situated is also home to Indigenous Peoples from across the region and Canada.
