Duties
- Perform landscaping tasks including gardening, planting, pruning, mowing, and turf care to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance including trimming trees and shrubs, fertilizing plants, and light weed control
- Use hand tools and power tools for repairs, carpentry work, fencing, or general maintenance tasks
- Assist with construction projects like installing walkways, patios, or retaining walls while adhering to safety standards
- Perform regular inspections of structures and grounds to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and address them promptly
- Shovel or snow blow commercial walkways to ensure areas are completely free of snow and ice, apply salt as preventative measure
Requirements
- Proven experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and repairing equipment such as lawn mowers, zero turn mowers and leaf blowers
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labour
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues efficiently
