We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Provide patient care including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs under supervision or as trained
- Support seniors and individuals with disabilities through companionship, engagement, and emotional support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning client living areas to maintain a safe and hygienic setting
- Document care provided accurately in client records and communicate any changes or concerns to healthcare teams
- Assist with transfers and heavy lifting using proper techniques to ensure safety for both clients and caregivers
Skills
- Previous experience working with individuals in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments
- Strong patient care skills with knowledge of dementia, hospice, or senior care practices
- Ability to handle medication administration accurately following protocols
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with physical stamina for heavy lifting and mobility assistance
- Compassionate communication skills for engaging clients empathetically and effectively
- Basic cleaning skills to maintain a clean living space for clients
