CFIR is one of the largest private mental health centres in Canada, and provides assessment and therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in the St. Catharines, Ottawa and Toronto communities within 24 treatment services and 17 assessment services. The Centre is also a training facility involved in the training and supervision of Master’s and doctoral students, pre-doctoral psychology residents and supervised practice psychologists, and qualifying registered psychotherapists who are completing placements or licensure requirements.

Duties

- Provide cognitive and psychodiagnostic assessment services (i.e., clinical interviewing, standardized test selection/administration/scoring/interpretation, report writing, provision of assessment feedback), in accordance with Regulations, Standards of Professional Conduct, under the clinical supervision of a Registered Psychologist
- Understand and properly use all CFIR-related assessment processes, including but not limited to, processes related to reserving assessment tools, requesting and administering testing measures, invoicing clients under the direction of a Registered Psychologist
- Maintain knowledge,



skills and abilities by keeping up to date regarding professional standards through reviewing current literature, attending workshops/seminars, networking and consultation with colleagues
- Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures at CFIR
- Meet with Registered Psychologist supervisor on a basis agreed upon by the supervisor and supervisee and in line with standards of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysists of Ontario

Qualifications:
- Masters in Clinical Psychology, from an accredited university with appropriate clinical training
- Knowledge of psychometric tests and assessment procedures appropriate for use with adults
- Experience needed in Administering/Scoring the following assessment measures: WAIS-IV
- Experience Preferred in Administering/Scoring: Conners-3/CAARS; D-KEFS; WMS-IV; Structured Interviews (SCID-5); PAI
- Experience Preferred in assessing: ADHD, Autism
- Satisfactory Police Records Check for the vulnerable sector
- Ability to work actively and collaboratively with supervisor and team members
- Ability to conduct assessments with persons with varying levels of cognitive ability
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (Mental Health Act, Substitute Decisions Act, CCC, CSA) impacting on practice
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with clients, family and other caregivers
- English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression.

Pay: $50.00-$95.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 – 12.0 per week
