POSITION PURPOSE:

Septimatech is looking for a Quality Coordinator to support our quality and continuous improvement activities by helping ensure product conformance, managing non-conformance activities, and helping prevent recurring quality issues. Reporting to the Manufacturing Excellence Supervisor, this role coordinates NCR review, root cause analysis, corrective actions, quality process audits, inspection activities, calibration requirements, Engineering Change Notices, and document control.

The successful candidate takes pride in maintaining high-quality standards, identifying opportunities for improvement, and working with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and prevent recurrence. The Quality Coordinator helps ensure quality processes, records, and documentation remain current, controlled, and aligned with Septimatech’s operational and customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Non-Conformance Report Management

Review NCRs with the Quality cross functional team daily to ensure they are objectively and accurately root coded, completed, and include the initial root cause and short-term corrective action. Maintain NCR records in a current and summarized state to support root cause analysis and the development of effective long-term corrective actions. Prepare NCR summaries and reports and coordinate communication with key stakeholders as required.

Engineering Change Notice Management

Support and coordinate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), including reviewing changes, updating applicable quality documentation, and communicating required updates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other key stakeholders.

Root Cause Analysis & Long-Term Corrective Actions

Support problem solving and identify effective root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions companywide using appropriate quality tools. Work with key stakeholders to ensure corrective actions are implemented and follow-up activities are completed to confirm effectiveness. Prepare summaries and reports, and coordinate communication with key stakeholders as required.

Quality Process Audits

Conduct quality process audits to support compliance requirements, record and evaluate audit findings, concerns, and observations, and communicate results to key stakeholders. Maintain an ongoing audit schedule and follow-up items from corrective actions

Inspection

Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts, products, and assemblies to verify conformance with engineering drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and workmanship standards. Perform and record dimensional inspections, including critical dimensions, using appropriate measuring and inspection equipment. Identify and document non-conformances and work with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to resolve quality concerns.

Approve completed products and assemblies for release to Shipping when quality requirements have been met.





Calibration Management

Support the calibration program for all registered Septimatech instruments and ensure measuring devices meet proper operating requirements. Schedule subcontracted calibration work, perform in-house calibration where required, record calibration results, and support the procurement of calibration instruments and spare parts.

People, Product, Process Training & Development

Identify training requirements resulting from non-conformance activities, corrective actions, quality audits, easily preventable mistakes, and identified quality trends. Assist with coordinating and delivering non-technical training as required.

TQM Administration

Maintain the ongoing review of companywide TQM documents and work with document owners or designates to ensure applicable documents remain current and properly maintained.

Document Control

Validate and maintain companywide TQM forms, processes, and documents. Ensure company documents are readily available, identifiable, retrievable, and stored in accordance with file storage guidelines.

Customer Container Management

Manage the movement of bottle samples after Final Inspection is complete and ensure they are delivered to designated locations. Coordinate the monthly and annual purging of applicable bottle samples, as required, to maintain adequate space within existing storage locations.

Other Duties

Perform other duties as assigned from time to time and at the discretion of the Manufacturing Excellence Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of related quality, manufacturing, or inspection experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid understanding of quality management principles, non-conformance reporting, root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience reviewing and supporting NCR activities, including root coding, corrective action follow-up, and communication with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and other key stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, bills of materials, manufacturing plans, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Experience supporting Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), controlled documentation updates, and cross-functional communication related to product or process changes.
- Experience using CAD software, including SolidWorks, is required to support drawing review, technical documentation, and quality-related activities.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment, including vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, and other inspection equipment in both Imperial and Metric systems.
- Working knowledge of calibration requirements, inspection methods,



quality audits, and controlled document processes.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to prepare reports, summaries, presentations, and quality documentation.
- Visual/ERP experience would be considered an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and follow-up skills with the ability to support practical and effective corrective actions.
- Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and maintain accurate quality records.
