POSITION TYPE: Regular Full-time (40 hours per week)SALARY: $60,673-$67,238LumenusCommunity Servicesiscommittedtodiversity,equity andinclusion.Wevaluearecruitmentandselectionprocessthatisinclusiveandbarrier-freeandweencourageapplicationsfrom all individuals including, but not limited to, all cultures, religions, racialized communities,abilities,sexual orientations,andgenderidentitiesandexpressions.LumenusCommunityServicesiscurrentlyhiring two regular full-time Intensive Therapists inouradultLive intreatmentprogram.Theadult program (Yorkland)islocated inRichmond Hill(Yonge & Elgin Mills). The Yorkland program serves individuals with a dual diagnosis (developmental disabilities, along with other diagnoses such as autism, and/or other social-emotional-behavioural needs)). The team uses a strength-based approach and elements of Applied Behaviour Analysis within a milieu treatment setting. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to create an approach that matches the service user’s skills and achievable goals within a safe, predictable and positive environment.The program is transitional in nature (service users do not live in the programs long-term) and designed to be responsive toindividuals with high needs who are unable to access already existing community-basedresources due to their clinical profiles (i.E., high need for support, behaviour interventions, and supervision).KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure supportive, safe, and predictable workplace through the establishment of routinesand limits; Supportindividualswithspectrumofneedsincludinglifeskills,socialskills,emotionalregulationskills,andhygiene; Consult with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement a range of clinical interventionsandprogramsbasedonindividualserviceuser(eg.Behaviourprotocols,skill-buildingprograms); Liaise with mentalhealth professionals to develop and implement assessments, goals,
andtreatmentplansforassignedcases(eg.Servicereviewandclinicalmeetingpresentations); Ensurecommunicationofallpertinentserviceuserandprogramrelatedinformationandeventsto other team members and members of the multi-disciplinary team including social worker,dayprogram/school,andoutsideagencies; Work collaboratively in an intensive program, designed to develop an understanding of theindividualswithin the program, and how to best support them so that they can be transitionedinto existingcommunitybasedsettings ortoreturnhome; Assumevariousadministrativeresponsibilitiesinaccordancewiththeoperationoftheresidence(ie.Maintainup-to-datecaserecords, servicereviews,dailylogs,data trackingand compilation).Preferencewillbegiventoanindividualwithknowledgeandexperienceinsupportingpersonswitha dual diagnosiswithin the adult sector and experience in the implementation of service plans,which incorporate: sexual and gender identity, ethno-racial needs, social and life skills as well asbehaviouralassessmentandmanagementtechniques.QUALIFICATIONS:Child and Youth Worker/Counsellor, Social Services or Developmental Services Worker diploma, orequivalenteducationandexperience; Personal resilience combined with a compassionate, insightful perspective fostering a steadycommitment to service users whose emotional, behavioural and mental health profiles can be acutelytroubledforextendedperiods.KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS ANDABILITIES:Strongassessmentandtreatmentplanningskills; Abletodemonstrateknowledgeof autism,dualdiagnosis ,andtheimpactontheserviceusersandtheir families; Clear exposureto workingthroughananti-racistandanti-oppressivelens.Abilitytocommunicateeffectivelywitharangeofprofessionalandcommunity collateralpartners.ADDITIONALREQUIREMENTS:Satisfactoryclearanceunder the VulnerableSectorScreening process; Abilitytoworkonarotatingschedule(weekdays,weekends,andholidays) day and eveninghours; MedicalclearanceinaccordancewithLumenusCommunityServicespolicyonpre-employmentmedicals; Abilitytoperformtasksinvolvingphysicalactivity,includinglifting,bendingandprolongedstandingaswellabilitytobetrained in NVCI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention)techniques; Abilitytoprovidelifeskillssupportatvaryinglevelsdependingonserviceuserneeds(eg.Bathing,hygiene,laundry)#J-18808-Ljbffr
