Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Full-time Quality Control Inspector to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring that all finished product packaging meets SQF food safety standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will manage perform quality control inspections, rework and testing to maintain product integrity and safety prior to shipment.

SQF experience is a plus, but not required. We encourage anyone with a strong background in food manufacturing or quality control to apply.

Duties

Quality Control Responsibilities:

· Comply with quality assurance as per all Customer/Caxton Mark requirements.

· Approve set-up quality signoffs on manufacturing production.

· Complete quality assurance and associated documentation in all processes and equipment at various intervals as required.

· Complete quality assurance on incoming raw materials as required.

· Communicate with Supervisor(s)



and Plant Manager on any concern/clarification encountered.

· Using various testing methods/equipment, complete testing on raw and finished products and document findings as required

· Properly identify and remove product that does not conform to customer specifications or quality standards.

· Report any defective materials to Supervisor/Plant Manager.

· Perform General Labour duties such as manual lifting (up to 60lbs), packing, taping, labelling and sorting.

· Move products and inventory utilizing various equipment not limited to pallet jacks, carts.

· Other duties as required.

Food Safety Responsibilities:

· Comply with the Food Safety Program policies.

· Complete training and safety programs as required.

· Adhere to clean-as-you-go and good housekeeping practices.

· Report any deviation of the Food Safety Program (SQF).

· A part of the HACCP Team

Experience

· Post-secondary education or diploma in Quality Assurance, Packaging, Print, or a related field an asset.

· Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

· Solid communication and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.50-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 48.0 per week
