Position Title: Quality Engineer

Department: Operation

Reports To: Quality Manager

Position Summary: The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems meet customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements. The Quality Engineer supports continuous improvement initiatives, leads root cause investigations, manages corrective actions, and ensures compliance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

Job Functions (but not limited to):

- Support and maintain compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 requirements and company procedures.
- Assist in developing and updating quality procedures, work instructions, and forms.
- Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and support supplier qualification and supplier audits.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and suppliers to resolve quality issues and verify effectiveness of supplier corrective actions.
- Lead investigations of internal, supplier, and customer quality issues and corrective action activities.
- Support Engineering Change process to assess quality risks and maintain document control.
- Utilize quality tools including: 8D, 5 Why Analysis, PFMEA, Control Plan.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions and track corrective actions through closure.
- Conduct internal process, product, system audits, in-process, finished product quality checks and develop inspection checklist.
- Support customer, certification audits and track and verify closure of audit findings.
- Develop and maintain: Inspection Plans, Quality Standards, Inspection Criteria.




- Review first article inspections and production quality data.
- Ensure appropriate containment activities are implemented when needed.
- Investigate customer complaints, quality concerns, coordinate and respond to customer corrective action requests and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions implemented.

Experience:

- Experience in a Quality Engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SPC.
- Experience with 8D, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer quality requirements.
- Experience working directly with customers and suppliers on quality issues.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and product/process specifications.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with quality management systems and statistical software is an asset.

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
