Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and track maintenance equipment to perform track repairs, alignments, and replacements.
- Assist with paving and ballast work to ensure proper track foundation and stability.
- Support construction projects by preparing work sites, installing new track sections, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Conduct inspections of railway tracks to identify defects or safety concerns, documenting issues for further action.
- Collaborate with team members to execute scheduled maintenance activities efficiently and safely.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during equipment operation and construction activities to prevent accidents.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and safety checks for compliance purposes.
Experience
- Prior experience operating heavy construction or railway maintenance equipment is highly desirable.
- Construction experience with a focus on paving or track-related work is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of railway infrastructure standards, safety regulations, and maintenance procedures is a plus.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively as part of a team in outdoor conditions.
