Our Warehouse Department is growing and we are looking for Machine Operators to join the team. Reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead the Machine Operators will play an integral role in contributing to the workflow of our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Equipment: Drive reach trucks and order pickers (cherry pickers) to move pallets and stock across high warehouse racks.
- Pick Orders: Read pick lists or use an RF scanner (radio frequency handheld tool) to find and gather correct product quantities.
- Manage Inventory: Count, verify, and track incoming and outgoing shipments using the warehouse database.
- Prepare Shipments: Wrap, label, and stage pallets or boxes in designated shipping areas.
- General Warehouse Duties: Restock shelves, load trucks, sweep, and keep the work area clean.
Safety Protocols
- Fall Protection: Wear a personal safety harness and tie off securely when riding elevated order picker platforms.
- Daily Inspections: Check brakes, controls, and hydraulics on the lift truck before starting each shift.
- Warehouse Rules: Wear steel-toed boots, and follow safe driving speeds in narrow aisles.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift license for a Raymond Reach and Order Picker, plus a fall arrest certificate for elevated platforms.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs when required.
- 2 years of warehouse or forklift operating experience.
- Strong accuracy in matching product codes and numbers to prevent shipping errors.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Basic computer skills
- Positive verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Must be a team-oriented individual; able to work well with others as well as independently with a positive attitude.
