About Brokkr

Brokkr Mineral Resources is developing creative technology for the mining and minerals industry. Our team combines microbiology, chemistry, engineering, and mineral processing to develop new approaches for metal extraction and recovery.

We have developed and operated an integrated bench-scale process circuit and are now moving toward building and operating our pilot plant. We are looking for a hands-on Equipment & Fabrication Technician to build, modify, maintain, and repair the physical equipment our scientists and engineers depend on, including reactors, pumps, stirring systems, sensors, piping, and instrumentation.

The Role

This is a practical, hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys building, fixing, modifying, and troubleshooting physical systems. Our scientists and engineers will provide the process development, system design, technical requirements, and overall direction. Your role is to turn those requirements into functioning equipment and systems.

A major part of the role will be helping transition our existing 35 L bench-scale process circuit to a pilot-scale system approximately 100 times larger. You will work alongside our scientists and engineers to build, assemble, modify, test, troubleshoot, and commission the equipment as we scale up. This is not an independent engineering or process-design role.

We are looking for someone who can take technical direction, solve practical problems, and bring creative ideas to improve equipment, monitoring, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Build, assemble, modify, maintain, and repair experimental and pilot-scale equipment.
- Assemble and troubleshoot stirred-tank reactors, stirring and agitation systems, pumps, valves, piping, tubing, and sampling systems.
- Install, wire, and troubleshoot sensors and instrumentation, including pH, ORP, temperature,



and weight measurement systems.
- Perform basic electrical and electronics work, including soldering and wiring.
- Support fabrication, machining, 3D printing, and custom equipment modifications.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, fluid-handling, and instrumentation problems.
- Set up, test, and commission pilot-scale equipment and support pilot plant operations.
- Work with scientists and engineers to turn technical requirements into practical, functioning equipment.
- Support the physical scale-up from bench to pilot scale, including fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain equipment documentation, schematics, drawings, wiring diagrams, and maintenance records.
- Perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.

What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is practical, resourceful, technically curious, and genuinely enjoys working with their hands.

You do not need to be an engineer or scientist. We already have scientists and engineers who will provide design direction and technical guidance. We need someone who can confidently work with tools, equipment, mechanical systems, electrical components, pumps, piping, stirring systems, sensors, and instrumentation.

Experience with some of the following is preferred:

- Mechanical assembly, fabrication, and workshop tools.
- Pumps, valves, piping, tubing, and fluid-handling systems.
- Stirring and agitation systems and stirred-tank reactors.
- Basic electrical systems, wiring, and soldering.
- Sensors and process instrumentation.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- 3D printing and/or machining.




- Reading basic technical drawings, schematics, or wiring diagrams.
- Building or modifying custom equipment.

A diploma or technical qualification in electronics, instrumentation, mechanical/electrical technology, mechatronics, or a related field is an asset. Equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered. Experience with laboratory, pilot-scale, industrial, or process equipment is an asset.

Experience with Arduino, ESP32, other microcontrollers, basic programming, automation, or data logging is also an asset, but is not required.

You enjoy building and fixing things and take pride in equipment that works reliably. You are comfortable taking direction from scientists and engineers while taking ownership of the hands-on work. You can work independently, troubleshoot problems, and know when to ask questions.

You don't need to know everything when you start. We value strong practical skills, troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and a willingness to learn.
