Full-Time | Maternity Leave Contract

Milestone Real Estate Lawyers is seeking an experienced Real Estate Conveyancer to join our Langley office on a full-time contract to provide maternity leave coverage.

We are a busy, established law firm with a strong real estate practice throughout the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. We are looking for someone who is confident managing residential conveyancing files independently from opening through completion and reporting.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for independently managing a variety of real estate transactions, including:

- Residential purchases and sales;
- Residential refinances;
- Mortgage transactions and payouts;
- Preparing and reviewing conveyancing and Land Title documents;
- Preparing Statements of Adjustments and trust documentation;
- Conducting title, tax and related searches;
- Communicating with clients, realtors, lenders, mortgage brokers and other law firms;
- Coordinating signing appointments and closing requirements;
- Managing completion and possession deadlines;
- Handling post-closing matters, reporting and file completion; and
- Assisting with private lending and MIC mortgage files as required.

What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can step into an active conveyancing practice and work with a high degree of independence.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Minimum 3 years of BC conveyancing experience, with preference given to candidates with more extensive experience;
- Strong experience independently handling purchases, sales and refinances from start to finish;




- Knowledge of BC Land Title procedures and residential conveyancing requirements;
- Experience with LTSA and real estate conveyancing software;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple transactions and competing completion dates;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- The ability to communicate professionally and confidently with clients and industry professionals;
- The ability to work independently while also being part of a collaborative team; and
- Experience with private mortgage or lender-side transactions is an asset.

Position Details

Position: Real Estate Conveyancer – Maternity Leave Coverage

Location: Langley, BC

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Term: Approximately 12–18 months

Start Date: October 2026

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience

There may be an opportunity for continued employment following the maternity leave contract depending on the firm's needs and the successful candidate's performance.
