Overview

Join our team as a Recruiter and become a vital driver of our talent acquisition efforts! In this role, you will lead the search for candidates across various departments.

Reporting to the Human Resources Administrator, Director of Administration and Executive Directors, you will:

Responsibilities

- Maintain up-to-date vacancy report and follow candidates through the hiring process.
- Receive applications from external/internal applicants (Federal Chaplaincy, Alberta Provincial Chaplaincy, FCRP, etc.)
- Conduct Site Assessment to determine applicable locations of work (Federal Chaplaincy, Alberta Provincial Chaplaincy)
- Ensure that all potential candidates have provided up-to-date resumes demonstrating the Qualified Professional Official Representative (of his or her faith community) (QPOR) requirements, and a mandate letter(s) that meets or exceeds the QPOR criteria, and that the information provided on the resume and mandate letter(s) are aligned with one another.
- Ensure all potential candidates meet the Qualified Professional Official Representative (of his or her faith or spiritual community) (QPOR) requirements (Federal Chaplaincy,



Alberta Provincial Chaplaincy)
- Ensure all potential candidates meet the position requirements (FCRP, etc.)
- Schedule and participate in all interviews alongside HR, the Regional Director and/or the National Director of Chaplaincy via Zoom/MS Teams. Introductory phone calls prior to the interview are highly recommended.
- Work with outside organizations, including Correctional Services Canada and faith organizations, throughout the hiring process.
- Ensure that the candidate completes signs and returns the Contractor Reading Module checklist before starting work at any institution.
- Continuous recruitment efforts for ongoing backup needs (being proactive in recruitment)
- Research in understanding diverse faiths, to further understand terminology and QPOR requirements for each tradition/faith.
- Data input and ability to understand data to be able to see “gaps” (hiring needs) from the anomalies report
- Ensure that all protocols are followed, working alongside our CSC partner before onboard: (QPOR status, Interview, Liability Security Clearance, Out-of-Country Check if required, Contractor’s Reading Modules, Linguistic test if required, Call Up request, offer letter prepared, new hire paperwork prepared, add to spreadsheets, make Paycom profile,



let regional chaplain know for ID access to institutions, request BOC email to be created, etc).
- Prepare and perform presentations to certain groups such as BI, IFC, CSC or organizations.
- Ensure to understand all contracts for each hire to proper onboard with appropriate steps and benefits (FCRP, Federal Chaplain, Provincial Chaplain, HR or Corporate Staff, CBA)
- Keep track of probationary periods for each employee, and conduct employee evaluations with Regional Director
- Other recruitment-related tasks as required.

Requirements

- Bilingual-oral and written proficiency in French and English is required.
- Comfortable recruiting individuals of various religious/spiritual faith traditions.
- Cold-calling experience in performing cold calls or comfortability with cold-calling preferred
- Recruiting or Administrative experience preferred
- Knowledge of HR sourcing techniques including cold calling, research methods, and leveraging social media platforms for lead generation.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning in areas such as training & development and HR best practices.
