Horizon Maritime Northern Services Ltd. is dedicated to delivering exceptional value to our customers while ensuring the health and well‑being of our employees.As a growing organization in the maritime industry, we specialize in recruiting and placing maritime professionals across various sectors.SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in the Northwest Territories on a project with our client Marine Transport Services.Job DutiesInstall, maintain, and repair shipyard mechanical systems, including cranes, winches, pumps, and hydraulic systems to ensure protected and efficient operation.Conduct precision alignments of rotating equipment such as propulsion shafts, bearings, and pump assemblies.Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on shipyard infrastructure and heavy equipment.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, implementing effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.Assist with vessel refits by repairing or replacing mechanical components, including steering gear, pumps, and auxiliary systems.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for mechanical system installations and repairs.Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts usage, repair logs, and equipment service history.Provide technical expertise and mentorship to apprentices or junior technicians as required.Other duties as assigned by the Machining Department.RequirementsJourneyperson Millwright certification.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics,
