Participates in program development and facilitation, policies and procedure formulation, program evaluation and budget preparation. The Residential Manager must have experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities, mental health issues, challenging behavior, high medical needs, autism, addictions, and assisting with personal care in a staff supported home setting (such as a resource home). The position requires a flexible schedule and is salaried. The Residential Manager flexes their schedule (9am‑5pm or 10am‑6pm etc…) as needed to ensure appropriate supervision and direction for staff and the people we support. Programs may be located in Surrey, Delta, South Surrey, Langley, Port Coquitlam or Aldergrove. Must have knowledge of MCFD/CLBC and experience managing residential homes.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversees the day-to-day operation of residential program(s), ensuring facilities, equipment, program guidelines, policies, and standards are met.Participates in recruitment and selection, screening applicants, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations.Hires and supervises program staff, assigning work, providing feedback, conducting performance evaluations,



and facilitating disciplinary action and termination when needed.Builds a structured schedule for each youth based on strengths, needs, and highly preferred activities.Utilizes positive behavior support to assist youth in learning new behavioral pathways and communicating wants and needs, including strategies such as sensory breaks, mindfulness, social scripts, activity schedules, “first and then,” contingency mapping, and personalized communication systems.Schedules program staff in accordance with staffing requirements.Promotes public awareness of and support for the program by producing promotional materials and attending community events.Liaises with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals, and represent the organization externally.Participates in the management team to develop strategic plans and resolve operational issues and policies.Operates within a set program budget, monitors expenditures, authorizes program costs, and maintains financial records; prepares reports for the Regional Service Coordinator and the CEO.Maintains related records and statistics; produces requiredreports.Formulates and evaluates program policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.Recruits, selects, dismisses, orients, trains, monitors, and supports program volunteers or practicum students (with approval).Provides direct support to persons served as needed, modeling and demonstrating daily life skills, social skills, behavior management, grooming,



cooking, money management, shopping, safety skills, personal care, pet care, and vocational activities; assists with lifts and transfers; performs minor home repairs, lawn mowing, painting; lifts at least 5 lbs.Provides leadership and is involved in accreditation activities.Participates as an active member on committees when necessary.Reports to the Service Coordinator and CEO.Position is non-union.Education and QualificationsDiploma in a related human/social service field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Three (3) years recent related experience, including one (1) year supervisory or administrative experience.Experience/knowledge in complex care needs, trauma training, positive behavioral support, community care licensing regulations, MCFD standards, and CARF accreditation standards.Negative TB test.Clear criminal record check.Clear health certificate.Approved First Aid and CPR certification.Class 5 driver's license and clean driver's abstract.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to maintain confidential information.Ability to work on a team and independently.Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a quick-paced setting.Strong attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.Problem-solving abilities, identifying issues and resolving programs in a timely manner.Highly organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.Job Type : Full-timeSalary : $74,888.00-$76,960.00 per yearBenefitsCompany pensionDental careExtended health careLife insuranceVision careExperienceSupervising: 2 years (required)License/CertificationDriving licence class 5 (required)Work Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
