Merrickville Daycare is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our preschool team. The successful candidate will support the planning and implementation of a high-quality early learning program that aligns with How Does Learning Happen? and promotes children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Observe, document, and assess children’s learning and development
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Support children’s individual needs, interests, and abilities
- Maintain compliance with licensing requirements, health and safety policies, and centre procedures
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and reflective practice

Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent




- Current registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)
- Valid First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of Ontario early learning frameworks and child development
- Experience working in a licensed preschool setting is an asset

m. Valid CPR - Standard First Aid Level C.

Must have strong communication, supervision and observations skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.42-$23.19 per hour
