Job OverviewThis position may qualify for a recruitment incentive of up to $13,000 over 12 months. As a Speech Language Pathologist II you will work independently and as part of an inter‑professional team, providing assessment and intervention services to primarily preschool (and some school‑aged) children and their families at the Red Deer 49th Street Community Health Centre.ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical professional practice both independently and as part of a collaborative team, which may include external partners. Responsible for prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention and case management. Participate in planning, coordination and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals and other partners. Supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate. Vehicle RequiredRequired QualificationsMaster's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).Additional Required QualificationsCurrent Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS‑HCP).Preferred QualificationsExperience with pediatric rehabilitation.Experience working with SLP Assistants.Experience working with children with complex needs (hearing impairments, ASD diagnosis, etc.).Experience working with children with suspected or confirmed Childhood Apraxia of Speech.Experience using technology to provide online therapy services.Security ScreeningA satisfactory criminal record check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search is required prior to your first day of work.
