Registered Practical Nurse, Acute Inpatient Medicine and Surgical Units

Pay: $35.91 - $39.80

Kingston Health Sciences Centre, ranked in the top 25 research facilities in Canada, is an Academic Health Centre affiliated with Queen's University and partnered with many other Universities and Colleges in the training and education of Nursing and Health Sciences candidates across the country.

As an RPN in the Medicine or Surgical Department, you will play a vital role in the delivery of high-quality patient care and will have the opportunity to work in highly acute clinical areas throughout the hospital as an interprofessional team member in the provisdion of care. All current hires are are enrolled in a comprehensive onboarding and training plan that incorporates both theory and practical learning on the job, supported by our Clinical Learning Specialists who will ensure your individual practice development needs are assessed and incorpaoarted into our cororate learning program.

Within this role the Registered Practical Nurse is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the Kingston Health Sciences Centre strategy. As an employee, one must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for actively promoting and supporting patient and family centered engagement and care in all we do.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Satisfactory criminal reference check required.
