Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our dynamic veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal health and welfare, coupled with comprehensive technical expertise. As a Registered Veterinary Technologist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting veterinarians in clinical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice.

Duties

- Assist veterinarians with clinical examinations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens, utilizing laboratory experience to support accurate diagnostics.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians while monitoring patient responses.
- Maintain detailed medical records and ensure accurate documentation of all procedures and treatments.
- Provide client education on animal health, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster responsible pet ownership.
- Prepare animals for surgery by administering anesthesia, monitoring vital signs, and assisting during procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and treatment areas to uphold safety standards.




- Support inventory management by ordering supplies and ensuring proper storage of medications and equipment.

Requirements

- Certification as a Registered Veterinary Technologist or equivalent credential from an accredited veterinary technology program.
- Proven laboratory experience supporting diagnostic testing and sample processing.
- Strong understanding of veterinary medical procedures, pharmacology, and animal anatomy.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and external laboratories.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate approach towards animals and clients with a commitment to high standards of care.
- Prior experience in surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, or laboratory work is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
