Alpenland's Castle Mountain Resort location is seeking friendly, energetic Rental Shop Associates to join our team for the upcoming winter season. As a Rental Shop Associate, you are the face of our rental operations and a crucial part of our guests' mountain experience. You will guide guests through the rental process—from sign-in and boot fitting to handing off gear and getting them ready for the slopes. Full training will be provided for all equipment fitting and software procedures.

Responsibilities

Guest Service & Rental Operations

- Enthusiastically greet guests, assist with digital/paper sign-in, and ensure liability waivers are completed accurately.
- Assist guests in sizing and fitting ski boots, snowboard boots, helmets, and poles for maximum comfort and safety.
- Select appropriate skis and snowboards based on guest physical stats and ability levels.
- Review completed rental contracts, enter customer data accurately,



and process payment transactions.

Gear Care & Shop Maintenance

- Receive returned equipment, inspect gear for damage, and organize items back into proper storage locations.
- Sanitize, dry, and clean rental boots, helmets, and gear after every use.
- Keep the entire rental floor, boot fitting benches, customer counters, and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist with basic shop setup, daily opening/closing procedures, and floor restocking.

Retail & General Support

- Answer general guest questions regarding resort amenities, trail conditions, and retail gear accessories.
- Support retail and rental staff during peak morning hours, holiday surges, and special resort events.

Qualifications

- No previous rental shop experience required—full on-the-job training is provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; great with kids, families, and first-time skiers/riders.
- Robust organizational skills and the ability to multi-task under high-volume morning rushes.
- Physical capability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift/carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity required to operate desktop computers, POS software, and rental adjustment tools.




- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts throughout the winter season.
