Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced working Residential Construction General Foreman/Superintendent to lead and oversee residential building projects from start to finish. This role is vital in ensuring that construction activities are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. As a key leader on-site, you will coordinate trades, manage schedules, and maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

Responsibilities

- Supervise daily construction activities on residential sites, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and according to plans and specifications
- Coordinate and schedule employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to optimize workflow and resource allocation
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide onsite activities effectively
- Monitor quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets company standards and client expectations
- Manage project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or similar tools to track progress and adjust plans proactively
- Oversee safety protocols, conduct site inspections, and enforce compliance with alberta ohs regulations to maintain a safe work environment




- Review and control project budgets, perform cost tracking, and assist with construction estimating as needed

Experience

- Minimum 5 years proven supervising experience with strong professional references in residential construction projects with a strong understanding of building processes and site management
- Extensive construction experience in all disciplines, with knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating techniques
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or equivalent programs
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Solid leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and resolve onsite issues efficiently
- Knowledge of quality control standards and best practices in residential building projects
