Duties
- Measure window openings accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to ensure proper fitment.
- Remove old windows carefully, handling drywall, caulking, and framing materials with skillful use of hand tools.
- Install new windows securely by following construction plans and schematics, ensuring proper sealing with caulking for energy efficiency.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, levels, and saws to complete installations efficiently.
- Perform related tasks including drywall repair, painting touch-ups, or minor carpentry work to prepare the area for window installation.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project timelines are met while delivering exceptional service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or carpentry with a strong focus on window installation or similar trades.
- Familiarity with hand tools, schematics, blueprints reading, and drywall repair techniques.
- Knowledge of caulking procedures, roofing or restoration experience is a plus.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings related to window installation projects.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, welding, flooring installation or tile laying is advantageous but not required.
