We are a private company that provides in-home and out of home support for youth and adults. We are currently adding members to our team in the Sarnia-Lambton area who have a variety of developmental and emotional needs. Applicants should have experience in child and youth care, or developmental disabilities work, and the willingness to continue to learn in this challenging but rewarding career field.
All applicants must demonstrate the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, have effective crisis intervention skills, communicate successfully and interact positively with clients and their families.
This position requires
- Post Graduate Degree such as Developmental Service Worker, Social Service Worker, Child and Youth Worker or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with special needs
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to providing quality life experiences in home and in the community
- Ability to learn and apply behavioural strategies
- First Aid, CPR certification
- CPI or Safe Management certification
- Access to a vehicle and appropriate insurance
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Clear Broad Record Check
Job Types: contract with many hours available
Pay: $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
