Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf is looking for Educational Assistants in two temporary positions from September to June. Ideal candidates will have a Community College certificate or related experience in child care, and will be proficient in American Sign Language (ASL). You will aid in individual and group activities while ensuring the physical care needs of children are met and following programs designed by professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with both individual and group learning programs
• Support the physical care needs of students
• Implement specialized plans from educational professionals




• Aid in the preparation and organization of learning materials
• Participate collaboratively in team efforts
Requirements:
• Community College certificate or equivalent education
• Updated Standard First Aid and CPR certification with AED
• Ability to communicate in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Background in working with deaf children and behavioral disorders
• Capacity to work effectively in teams
