OverviewSalary: $59,724 – $85,697 annuallyVacancy Status: Vacant PositionPosition: Child Care/Resource Worker – Full time, Kapuskasing and/or HearstTravel between offices as required.ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the Child Care and Resource teams, provide a broad spectrum of children’s services. Deliver preventative and protective intervention services to and on behalf of children in the care of the Agency’s child protection services and approved placements. Assess and support kinship families and the child or youth in placement.Job Requirements (Qualifications and Skills)A Master’s Degree in Social Work, or a Baccalaureate in Social Work is preferred.A College Diploma in Social Services may be considered, along with other relevant university degrees or diplomas deemed suitable by the Executive Director.Experience working with children, youth and families is considered an asset.Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, including the Child, Youth and Family Services Act and Ministry of Children and Youth Services standards.Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.Bilingualism (English/French)
