This is the fuel that helps us tackle the major challenges of our time.Job DescriptionPrepare engineering drawings of plans, profiles, typical sections, cross sections and other typical details based on MTO's standard drawings.Work under minimal supervision and organize and perform tasks necessary to complete assigned projects successfully.Set up project reference base files, set up sheets per standards,
and manage drawings via sheet set manager.Adhere to client-specific quality control process (CAD standards).Collaborate with other CAD technicians and engineers in a team environment.Develop and understand basic alignments in Civil3D, prepare cross sections and/or extract quantities.3D design and corridor modeling in Civil3D is required.Knowledge of working in collaborative work environments such as SharePoint and ProjectWise is an asset.Manage junior CAD technicians and develop team skills with a focus on improving quality and efficiency (asset).QualificationsMinimum 10 years of prior civil engineering projects CAD related experience.Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordination.Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to think creatively.Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.Additional InformationWe welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
