Servicing clients across Alberta, Frozen Solid provides temperature-controlled distribution and warehousing of fresh, frozen and dry products from our Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge locations. ABOUT 5-TON DRIVER:

As a 5 Ton Driver at Frozen Solid, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, responsible for the secure and efficient transportation of temperature-sensitive products. Your role encompasses driving a 5 ton truck, loading and unloading products, ensuring accurate documentation, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position reports directly to the logistics manager.

POSITION KEY INFORMATION:

Work days: Monday to Friday AND Tuesday to Saturday

Start time: 5am-8am

Shift hours: 8 to 10 hours

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Safely operate a 5-ton truck to deliver frozen and refrigerated products to designated locations in accordance with service delivery standards, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Monitor the operation of vehicle to ensure safe driving practices following applicable traffic laws.
- Ensure proper use and operation of all company equipment including vehicles and reefers
- Assist with the loading and unloading of products, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to maintain their integrity.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Complete accurate delivery logs, trip reports, and other required documentation using appropriate software, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.




- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Obtain signatures as needed.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle, such as checking oil, water, and tire pressure, and report any major maintenance needs to the appropriate department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, with a clean abstract.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience driving a 5 Ton truck.
- Food industry experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills for logistics tracking and documentation, ability to use Excel and the MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of using logistics and dispatch systems (Samsara) considered an asset.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 70lb.
- Sitting for extended periods while driving.
- Climbing in and out of the truck and performing physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Standing, bending, and walking.

HOURLY RATE AND PERKS: Pay: CA$24.88 - CA$28.61 per hour
