Job Description: In collaboration with physicians and the Primary Care Team, the Nurse Practitioner will provide primary health care services to several communities. This includes: health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services; collaboration with and referral to other health care specialists; conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects.
The incumbent reports to the Director of Primary Care.

Licenses
Registered Nurse Practitioner (RN(NP))
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)

Knowledge in research processes and program evaluation
Knowledge in community development and facilitation strategies
Knowledge in conflict resolution techniques
Knowledge in principles/practices/concepts of primary health care
