Permanent Full-time Mental Health LeadInternal posting for Professional Student Services Personnel (PSSP) OSSTF District 7.EligibilityPermanent PSSP members may apply.LocationBluewater District School Board (BWDSB), Education Centre, Learning Services – Student Support, Chesley, Ontario.Start DateAs soon as possible.Salary$106,851.00 to $110,351.00.Reports toSummer Kueneman, Clinical Manager.Position SummaryThe Mental Health Lead works with school board leadership, administrators, educators, school-based mental health professionals, learning services staff, and community partners to create and action an integrated and responsive child and youth mental health and addictions system.The Mental Health Lead will coordinate, align, and implement a School Board Mental Health Strategy.The Mental Health Lead will be familiar with the tiers of intervention (promotion, prevention, intervention) and be able to provide leadership, support, and resources to effectively address student needs within the board.The Mental Health Lead will support the vision, mission, and priorities of Bluewater District School Board, while contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesUse clinical expertise and work closely with School Mental Health Ontario to inform school board planning and support capacity building focused on addressing student mental health and addictions needs in schoolsCollaborate with board leadership, school administration, educators, professional colleagues, and students to identify mental health priorities for BWDSBCollaborate as a team member at the board and school level to enhance staff capacity to support student mental healthLead within a strengths-based, anti-oppressive framework, inclusive of cross-cultural considerations that embraces the diversity of studentsWork with the equity lead and Indigenous education lead to integrate culturally responsive learning related to well-being across the systemOrganize, lead,
