Job Duties
Serve as a brand ambassador for Baan Lao, committed to providing an exceptional customer experience
Create a pleasant, welcoming and respectful environment for all guests
Be extremely knowledgeable about every menu item and able to convey a meaningful description for all guest inquiries
Be comfortable and confident making food and drink recommendations to guests.
Accurately record and relay all food and drink orders
Coordinate with chefs and bartenders, providing clarification when needed.
Properly manage the flow of each meal for an optimum guest experience
Ensure the highest quality standards are met for service, cleanliness and food presentation
Work diligently with our maître d’ and/or management team to immediately address all guest concerns
Set tables, adhering to brand standards
Follow all safety and sanitation policies
Comply with all federal, provincial and municipal laws

Qualifications




2+ years of server experience in fine dining establishment.
Previous Thai food restaurant experience is preferred
Exceptional customer service, valuable interpersonal skills and communication
Excellent memory for names and faces
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Detail oriented
Able to function within, and contribute to, a team environment
Understanding of FoodSafe and liquor law regulations
WSET and/or Mixology training is a robust asset
Must have legible handwriting
Experience with a restaurant POS software platform
Passionate about creating a positive setting for guests and staff
High school diploma is required
Formal training in Hospitality is an asset
Keen interest and knowledge of wine an asset
