The engineer is directly accountable for designs, calculations, and technical solutions, working under initiative to produce high‑quality outputs and capable of managing others and the delivery of engineering and technical activities. The role also involves mentoring others and applying a wider range of knowledge to complex situations.This role is less focused on design, but more emphasized on understanding designs and maintaining the systems and platforms Babcock uses. It involves maintaining combat electrical systems such as radar, sonar, and communications, while also maintaining other platform electrical systems.QualificationsBachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering, licensed to practice in Canada as a Professional Engineer.8+ years of electrical engineering experience (marine industry considered an asset).3+ years of submarine specific experience (considered an asset).Experience reviewing and understanding designs and maintaining platform electrical systems such as power and distribution, control and instrumentation, motors, generators, pneumatics, hydraulics, and propulsion.Experience maintaining combat electrical systems such as radar, sonar, and communications.Experience providing professional oversight and mentorship within a technical team.Superior verbal and written communication skills,
