Make a difference as a part time Activationist at Better Living Health and Community Services’ Adult Day Program. You will develop enriching experiences for seniors, particularly those with cognitive impairments.

This casual role involves creating and executing programs while supporting seniors in daily life activities. A background in Recreation and Leisure Studies or related fields is essential. Your expertise will enhance the social and recreational well-being of seniors, offering both group and individualized support depending on their needs.

Engage with clients using a compassionate and empathetic approach.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute diverse recreational programs
Aid clients with activities of daily living
Set up and clean program materials and supplies
Facilitate social and fitness programs
Maintain client records and safety standards

Requirements:
Diploma/degree in Therapeutic Recreation or similar
Experience with seniors and cognitive difficulties
Robust organizational and communication skills
Valid First Aid and CPR certification
Vulnerable Sector Screening required
