Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our agile food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious sandwiches and other menu items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality food and excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, food safety, and customer interaction within a vibrant restaurant setting.

Duties

- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and serving areas
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage multiple orders efficiently while adhering to time management best practices
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to meet safety standards
- Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, portioning, and packaging ingredients
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service during order taking and serving
- Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies,

Requirements

- Previous experience in food preparation or food service preferred; restaurant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, for cashiering and order processing
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
