Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sander to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for smoothing and finishing wood surfaces to ensure the highest quality standards for our custom cabinetry projects. Your expertise will help bring our designs to life with flawless finishes and attention to detail. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where craftsmanship and precision are valued.

Duties

- Operate hand tools and power tools to sand and finish wood surfaces according to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine sanding requirements
- Prepare surfaces by removing old finishes, smoothing rough edges, and ensuring proper surface preparation for finishing
- Use various sanding techniques on different materials such as wood, drywall, or concrete forms
- Assist with cabinet installation, woodworking, and other related tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment by regularly cleaning tools and work areas




- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality standards are met

Qualifications

- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, woodworking, or related fields with a focus on finishing work
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and heavy lifting techniques
- Experience with drywall installation, restoration work, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, roofing, rebar installation, masonry or caulking is a plus
- Ability to perform precise sanding on various surfaces including cabinetry and drywall surfaces
- Robust attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials safely
- Prior handyman experience or construction estimating knowledge is advantageous
