Rate: CAD $100/hr on C2C

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA SD Lead Consultant to support a Canada rollout of an existing global SAP template.

The consultant will lead the SAP Sales & Distribution workstream, assess the existing Global Template against Canadian business requirements, conduct Fit-to-Template workshops, and ensure local requirements are addressed while maintaining global process standards and SAP Clean Core principles.

The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on SAP S/4HANA SD experience, Global Template rollout experience, cross-functional integration knowledge, and exposure to international country localization and e-invoicing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead SAP S/4HANA SD Fit-to-Template / Fit-to-Standard workshops .
- Assess the existing Global SD Template against Canadian entity requirements.
- Lead SD localization and rollout activities for Canada.
- Configure and support:
- Sales Orders
- Pricing
- Deliveries
- Shipping
- Billing
- Returns
- Credit / Debit Processes
- Output Management
- Customer Master / Business Partner
- Analyze business requirements and determine whether they can be addressed through the existing Global Template or require approved local deviations.
- Support integration between SD, Finance, MM, Logistics, Supply Chain, EAM, and external systems .
- Support tax determination and billing-related requirements.
- Support customer, pricing, billing, and revenue-related processes.
- Support global e-invoicing and electronic document compliance requirements.
- Assess country-specific e-invoicing and electronic reporting requirements.
- Support integrations with tax authorities, government platforms, Peppol, or other applicable electronic invoicing networks where required.
- Validate invoice data, tax information, customer information, and regulatory fields.




- Coordinate with Finance, Tax, Integration, and Technical teams.
- Prepare functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, and integrations.
- Review existing customizations and recommend standard SAP solutions where possible.
- Support data migration and validation activities.
- Support Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, Mock Cutover, Production Cutover, Go-Live, and Hypercare .
- Troubleshoot SD configuration and integration issues.
- Provide functional leadership to onshore/offshore teams.
- Ensure solutions align with the Global Template and SAP Clean Core principles.

Global Template & Localization

- Review and understand the existing live Global SD Template.
- Identify gaps between global processes and Canadian business requirements.
- Lead Fit-to-Template discussions with global process owners and local stakeholders.
- Distinguish genuine localization requirements from process preferences.
- Document fit/gap decisions and approved local deviations.
- Ensure Canadian requirements do not create unnecessary deviations from the Global Template.
- Support standardization and reuse of existing global processes.

E-Invoicing & Compliance Experience with global e-invoicing and electronic document compliance is highly desirable.

The consultant should have exposure to country-specific requirements such as:

- Electronic invoicing
- Electronic reporting
- Tax authority integrations
- Government platforms
- Peppol
- SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) or equivalent solutions

Experience supporting multiple-country requirements such as Canada, USA, UAE, KSA, Romania, Turkey,



Barbados, or Pakistan is a plus.

Integration Experience

Strong understanding of SD integration with:

- SAP FI / Finance
- SAP MM / Procurement
- SAP EAM / Asset Management
- Supply Chain
- Tax
- External / third-party systems
- E-invoicing and regulatory platforms

Required Experience

- 15+ years of SAP SD experience preferred.
- Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA SD experience.
- 7+ years of SAP consulting experience in North America preferred.
- Proven experience with SAP Global Template rollouts / implementations .
- Strong experience with Fit-to-Template / Fit-to-Standard methodology.
- Strong knowledge of Sales, Pricing, Delivery, Shipping, Billing, and Returns processes.
- Strong cross-functional integration experience.
- Experience with country localization and multi-country SAP implementations.
- Experience with e-invoicing / electronic document compliance preferred.
- Experience with SAP RISE / S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition preferred.
- Experience supporting data migration, testing, cutover, Go-Live, and Hypercare.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Industry Experience Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, EPC, Drilling, Pipeline, Midstream, or Upstream environments is highly desirable.

Experience supporting SAP SD processes within asset-intensive, project-driven, or Oil & Gas organizations is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP S/4HANA SD certification.
- SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) experience.
- SAP RISE / S/4HANA Private Cloud experience.
- Experience with SAP Fiori and modern S/4HANA processes.
- Experience with large-scale global SAP transformation and rollout programs.
- Experience working with distributed onshore/offshore SAP teams.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field preferred.
