Job Overview

We’re on the lookout for a friendly and detail-oriented Seasonal Part time Cake Decorator to join our cake decorating team. In this role, you’ll bring beautiful cake designs to life, helping us create memorable desserts for our customers. If you love working with your hands, have an eye for detail, and enjoy a lively bakery environment, this position is perfect for you!

Responsibilities

- Decorate cakes according to customer specifications and bakery standards.
- Prepare cake components such as frosting, fillings, and toppings to ensure quality presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating area, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks related to cake decorating
- Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple decorating projects.
- Ensure all food handling practices meet health and safety regulations.
- Filling and masking cream cakes.




- Working in high-pace environment with time management as a priority.

Requirements

- Familiarity with food preparation, baking, and food safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and steady hand for intricate decorating work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Minimum three years work experience in the field
- Experience making cream flowers
- Ability to match colours of icing to customer’s request
- Ability to work with commercial machinery
- Current Food Handler's Certificate
- Baking and Pastry Arts College Certification Preferred
- Portfolio required with 10+ photos

Will receive tips as part of company tipping program policy*

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
