Job Overview

- The position requires availability to work 8- and 12-hour shifts across all 7 days of the week, with approximately 33–44 hours per week, including weekends and overnight shifts as required.
- Vigilant and proactive Security Guard to uphold safety standards across our clients’ site and secured areas.
- Responsible for monitoring premises, control access points, and conduct surveillance to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry.
- Your keen eye and quick response will be vital in maintaining a secure environment.

Duties

- Monitor designated areas, including CCTV surveillance systems, for suspicious activity or security breaches
- Control access for employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by verifying credentials and issuing passes
- Conduct regular site and perimeter patrols
- Monitor the property for theft, vandalism, unauthorized entry, and other security concerns
- Check the site for leaks, hazards, and other potential safety or security issues
- Open and close site gates as required
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies
- Contact and coordinate with emergency responders when necessary
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and access records
- Enforce site security, access control, and safety procedures
- Report suspicious activities,



hazards, and security breaches to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with investigations related to security incidents, theft, or property damage when required
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with employees, contractors, visitors, and the public

Qualifications

- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is highly desirable
- Robust knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and loss prevention strategies
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts while maintaining professionalism
- Excellent observational skills with a focus on detail-oriented reporting
- Valid Ontario security license
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit and patrol as necessary
- Must have skills necessary to use a computer and Microsoft programs
- Vehicle is an asset but not required

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

- Secondary School (required)
