Senior Accountant – 3-Month Contract

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant for a 3-month contract with our client in the manufacturing industry. This role is on site five days a week in North York. The successful candidate will independently handle daily accounting activities while contributing to the ERP migration from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to JD Edwards.

Responsibilities:

- Handle day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash application, including processing invoices, applying customer payments and resolving transaction discrepancies.
- Complete month-end accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support the ERP migration through master data cleanup, validation, module testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Review financial information and investigate variances to support operational needs.

Qualifications:





- Strong overall accounting and finance experience at a Senior Accountant, Senior Financial Analyst or similar level.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA designation or progress toward it is an asset.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including hands-on month-end close, reconciliations, AP, AR and cash application.
- ERP implementation or systems project exposure; Microsoft Dynamics NAV or JD Edwards experience is an asset.
- Ability to work across both operational and analytical finance activities.
- Proven ability to adapt quickly, work independently and take ownership with minimal supervision.
