The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for coordinating maintenance work by aligning resources, materials, and timelines to support safe and efficient execution. This role supports maintenance and operations activities by developing and maintaining schedules that optimize workforce utilization and adherence to standards.CompensationTotal rewards: $65.00 - $81.00 hourlyContract Duration and LocationOne year contract position, located at Sunrise Oil Sands, Alberta.Work type: Fly-In/Fly-Out. Camp accommodations provided. Flights provided from Calgary and Edmonton hubs.Schedule12-hour shifts with modified travel days.Rotation: 8 days on, 6 days off (Tuesday to Tuesday, rotating days and nights).Travel days: 6-hour shifts (first and last day).Core workdays: 12-hour shifts (Wednesday through Monday), Night shift rotation applies during designated cycle.Alignment with standard operational shifts.Typical day / ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules for assigned work areas.Coordinate labour, materials, permits, and equipment required for scheduled work.Monitor schedule compliance and adjust plans based on operational priorities.Update and maintain scheduling data within CMMS systems.Compile and distribute work schedules to relevant personnel.Support weekly scheduling processes and planning cycles.Coordinate scheduling requirements for shutdowns, turnarounds,



and outage events.Liaise with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders.Facilitate and participate in scheduling and coordination meetings.Support adherence to the work order lifecycle process.AccountabilitiesAccountable for the accuracy and effectiveness of maintenance schedules.Responsible for coordinating resources to support efficient work execution.Follow processes, procedures, and standard practices.Supports schedule performance metrics including compliance and capacity.Align scheduling activities with operational priorities.QualificationsJourneyman Trade Certification or equivalent experience.Minimum 10 years of industrial experience.Extensive experience using a CMMS for maintenance planning (SAP and/or Prometheus preferred).Experience with turnaround and outage scheduling.Familiarity with ABSA regulatory requirements.Experience in oil sands or similar industrial environments, Greenfield and Brownfield projects, New Construction, and Management of Change (MOC).Robust planning and organizational skills.Analytical and problem-solving capability.Effective communication and coordination skills.Ability to manage competing priorities.Attention to detail and process adherence.Additional InformationThis position may be designated as safety sensitive depending on assignment.
