At Reftek Systems, we design and build precision seismic instrumentation used around the world to capture signals that most instruments never see.

We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who loves difficult problems, hands-on engineering, and turning ideas into exceptional hardware.

This is not a role where you simply design to a specification. You’ll move from concept → schematic → prototype → measurement → refinement → production, with real ownership along the way.

Reftek has a skunkworks mentality: small teams, fast decisions, technical curiosity, and a bias toward building rather than presentations and paperwork.

You might design a low-noise feedback circuit in the morning, build a prototype in the afternoon, and spend the next day tracking down a few nanovolts of unexpected noise.

What You’ll Do

- Design high-precision, ultra-low-noise analog electronics, feedback systems, signal conditioning, filters, and multilayer PCBAs.
- Build, test, characterize, debug, and refine prototypes in the lab.
- Develop calibration, automated test, and verification methods.
- Use oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, DAQ systems, and other lab equipment to understand exactly what your hardware is doing.
- Work with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to take designs from prototype to production.
- Apply DFM, signal integrity, grounding, shielding, thermal, and component-selection best practices.
- Explore new components, architectures, simulation techniques, and technologies that can advance Reftek's products and IP.

What You Bring

- Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of hands-on electronics design experience.
- Strong background in precision analog, low-noise design, sensors,



feedback and control systems, or instrumentation.
- Experience with multilayer PCB design and tools such as KiCad.
- Strong practical laboratory and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of signal integrity, grounding, shielding, filtering, and noise mitigation.

Bonus Points

- SPICE, Python, FEM/multiphysics
- Transducers and electromechanical systems, Precision instrumentation
- Geophysics or seismic technology
