The opportunity

We’re looking for a hands-on electrical project manager who wants real ownership of the work, not just a bigger title.

ADEC Group brings together businesses in construction and manufacturing. This role leads commercial and industrial electrical projects, including mechanical and equipment wiring, power distribution upgrades, motor controls, VFD installations, retrofits and selected building automation work.

You’ll report directly to an entrepreneurial owner who sees plenty of opportunities. Your job is to help turn the right ones into well-planned, well-executed, profitable projects. You’ll have a voice in how the work gets done—and we want someone comfortable saying, “Here’s a better way.”

You’ll be part of a small, tight-knit team where people know each other, pitch in and take pride in the work. You’ll work directly with ownership, our estimator and foremen. Communication is straightforward, decisions happen quickly and your ideas have lots of room to become action.

What you’ll take charge of

- Start jobs properly. Turn estimates into clear project budgets, purchasing plans and achievable schedules.
- Keep crews moving. Plan labour across multiple jobs and make sure foremen know the priorities, hours available and expectations.
- Know where the money stands. Track costs, assess the work remaining and maintain reliable cost-to-complete forecasts.
- Get the extras captured. Identify changes, document them and follow through on pricing, approval and billing.
- Stay ahead of the hold-ups. Coordinate materials, equipment, drawings and subcontractors before they become tomorrow’s emergency.
- Look after the customer. Communicate clearly, solve problems and deliver what we promised.
- Finish the job. Keep billing moving and follow through on deficiencies, documentation and final closeout.
- Lead the field team. Set clear expectations for productivity, quality and safety, and support foremen in meeting them.

What you’ll bring You’ve successfully managed commercial and industrial electrical projects and led union field crews. You understand drawings, specifications, contracts and the difference between a busy job and a profitable one.

You can personally build a labour plan,



price a change and explain a project forecast. You’re comfortable using Excel and project-management tools, and you keep records that other people can actually follow.

A 309A licence or substantial electrical field experience would be a strong asset. More importantly, you have the judgment to make positive decisions, the confidence to address problems and the humility to listen.

Whether you’ve worked for a large contractor or a smaller operation, we want to know what you took responsibility for and what you delivered.

A valid driver’s licence and regular travel to project sites are required.
