The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Unit is a six-bed crisis unit focusing on brief admissions for children and adolescents facing reliable mental health challenges. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in acute care, particularly with pediatric patients, and a strong commitment to Family Centered Care. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while integrating community support systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in a crisis unit setting
• Conduct Mental Status Exams and manage crises effectively




• Lead health education for individuals and groups
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Develop plans for suicide safety for pediatric patients

Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum 1-2 years mental health experience required
• BLS Certification within the past year
• Advanced English/French bilingualism preferred
• Knowledge of mental health acts and regulations
