Hager Design International is an award-winning Hospitality Interior Design Studio located in the Kits/Broadway area of Vancouver. Currently, we are in search of a Senior Interior Designer to join our team. We thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about designing engaging and innovative spaces.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in hotel interior design within a design or architecture firm.
- Minimum of 10 years of overall interior design experience, and a minimum of 3 years of Canadian design experience.
- Post-secondary Certification, Diploma, or Degree in Interior Design required, hold or qualify for NCIDQ certification.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SPEXX, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher). Preference will be given to candidates with Revit.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a project in construction, including handling Requests for Information (RFIs) and reviewing shop drawings.
- Experience presenting and coordinating with clients unsupervised
- Proven ability to coordinate effectively with Consultants and Junior Designers.
About You:
- Proficiency in developing narratives and concepts for hotel projects, including sourcing imagery, finishes, furniture, and fabrics.
- Ability to mentor and guide intermediate and junior designers after 6 months in the role.
- Skill in providing constructive feedback to junior and intermediate team members assisting with concept development, sourcing, and assembling presentation packages.
- Strong communication abilities, including the capacity to effectively present to large groups of clients and brands (expected after 3 months of tenure).
- Demonstrated excellence in English communication, both verbal and written
- Thorough understanding of the unique requirements involved in designing branded hotels.
- Capability to effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Competence in producing comprehensive sets of working drawings and contract documents, encompassing millwork details and specifications.
- Ability to review drawing packages and detailed work produced by junior designers, offering guidance and design solutions, particularly related to design development and millwork details.
- Exceptional time management skills, ensuring adherence to project deadlines within allocated hours.
- Canadian residency or valid work permit is required.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00-$92,000.00 per year
