Taseko Mines is hiring a Senior Tailings Engineer for their Gibraltar Mine in Williams Lake, BC. This full-time role involves tailings deposition and regulatory compliance while fostering a safety-first environment.

As the Senior Tailings Engineer, you will focus on monitoring dam integrity and leading TSF capital projects. Your role includes reviewing technical plans, managing compliance with safety codes, and validating efficient operational processes. You will also mentor Engineers-in-Training, ensuring their career development and overseeing geotechnical assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Reclamation regulations
• Lead large TSF construction and monitoring projects




• Provide technical support to Mill Operations
• Manage geotechnical investigations and laboratory tests
• Support budgeting and operational reporting

Requirements:
• Civil or Geotechnical Engineering degree
• At least 5 years in tailings management
• Project management experience in mining
• P.Eng. designation, or eligibility to transfer
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
