We are seeking an experienced

Senior Process Engineer to support our client's manufacturing operations close to

Pickering. ON

.

Pay

- Upto $135K

Responsibilities

- Own process performance from stock preparation to reel across three Ontario mills.

- Lead troubleshooting for runnability issues, sheet defects, breaks, and grade changes.

- Maintain mass, water, and energy balances across stock prep, wet end, and effluent treatment.

- Optimize process controls, including PID loops, DCS systems, and control strategies.

- Lead root cause investigations and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.

- Standardize process parameters, operating windows, SOPs, and best practices across mills.

- Lead multi-site process improvement projects and support site engineers when needed.

- Design and manage mill trials, including planning, execution,



analysis, and recommendations.

- Support commissioning, startup, and performance validation of capital projects.

- Use process, lab, historian, and DCS data to identify improvement opportunities and track KPIs.

Requirements

- Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Pulp & Paper, or a related discipline.

- 8–12 years of process engineering experience in continuous manufacturing.

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on pulp and paper manufacturing experience required.

- Experience owning process performance on a commercial paper machine; recycled linerboard or containerboard experience is an asset.
