In this critical permanent role reporting to the Director of Thermofluids Engineering, you will engage deeply with thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer. Your expertise will directly contribute to the stellarator program, ensuring superconducting magnets and components operate efficiently. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support system testing, and refine cryogenic hardware designs to maximize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze thermodynamic and fluid dynamic performance of cryogenic systems
• Conduct numerical modeling and transient behavior evaluations
• Design and specify components including piping and heat exchangers
• Develop system-level thermal models for design guidance
• Validate designs through operational data analysis
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics
• Proficiency in heat transfer and fluid dynamics calculations
• Experience with ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar tools
• Knowledge of cryogenic system principles
• Solid problem-solving abilities and communication skills
