Covenant House Vancouver seeks a dedicated Youth Worker for its impactful Rights of Passage Program. This role focuses on offering safe housing and guidance to youth aged 16-24. Key responsibilities include aiding youth in life skills, education planning, and maintaining employment while navigating the challenges related to homelessness and trauma.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet youth and assess their immediate needs
• Build relationships with at-risk youth aged 16-24
• Introduce current youth to program services
• Assist youth in setting and achieving personal goals
• Provide crisis intervention and first aid when necessary
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in social services is an asset
• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role
• First Aid & Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage youth case files and documentation
