Toast is recruiting on behalf of a scaling technology company based in the Vancouver area that is building next generation subsurface imaging solutions for the mining and exploration industry. The company uses advanced muon tomography, an emerging geophysical technology, to help mining companies see underground with more clarity, reducing exploration risk and supporting more responsible resource development. As the company grows its commercial team across North America, Australia, and Latin America, it is looking for a Senior Revenue Operations Specialist to build and run the systems that keep the entire revenue engine aligned.
This is a brand new, hands on role reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, and the person hired will be the first and only person in this function to start.
Responsibilities
- Own and administer the CRM, including pipeline stages, stage criteria, required fields, workflows, integrations, and permissions
- Write and maintain the process standards that keep commercial records complete and accurate
- Triage and route incoming enquiries with Marketing so qualified opportunities reach the right account executive quickly
- Ensure clean handovers from Business Development to Customer Success so delivery starts with full context
- Define commercial metrics and be the go to person for what each one means and why it is used
- Run a single weekly, evidence based forecast for the commercial team
- Reconcile the forecast against pipeline evidence and delivery capacity, raising discrepancies early
- Partner with Finance on definitions, reporting, and any commercial information reviewed outside the company
- Build and maintain reporting used by leadership and the board
- Produce a weekly reporting pack and replace manual analysis with repeatable processes
- Review wins and losses regularly and feed learnings back into the sales approach
- Own how AI and automation are used across the commercial function, including what gets built, what earns its place, and how outputs are checked before reaching customers
- Keep automation running within the CRM and within security and data rules
- Run onboarding and training for new commercial team members
- Own the sales knowledge base and call library, keeping playbooks, proposals, and discovery materials current
- Partner with Talent and Finance on commercial compensation plans, attainment tracking, and quota coverage
- Produce accurate, on time attainment statements
Requirements
- Several years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or commercial analytics within a business to business environment with long, complex, multi stakeholder sales cycles
- Hands on CRM ownership, including the ability to design a pipeline model, configure stages and workflows, and bring order to inherited data
- Experience owning or building a sales forecast and the ability to explain how it was made reliable
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to move from a raw data export to a defensible answer independently
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tooling in real work, including building, automating, or governing with AI
- Credibility and judgement to hold a standard with experienced colleagues
- A bias to action and comfort building and operating at the same time
- Robust organizational skills with the ability to carry multiple priorities through to completion
- Discretion in handling compensation, pipeline, and customer information
- Fluent or professional level English communication skills, written and verbal
- Legal eligibility and current documentation to work full time hours in Canada
- Experience in mining, heavy industry, capital equipment, or another long cycle technical sales environment would be a plus
- Experience supporting a commercial team through a period of rapid growth would be an asset
- Background in sales compensation and quota administration would be beneficial
- Familiarity with reporting and enablement tools such as Gong, Notion, or Power BI would be a plus
- Sales development or qualification experience would be an asset
- Spanish language skills would be a plus
Benefits
- Annual salary range of 95,000 to 120,000 CAD
- Early equity option allocations upon hire
- Direct impact on a technology advancing significant economic and environmental outcomes in the mining sector, with your work shaping how a scaling commercial team operates and forecasts
- Financial support for professional accreditation, membership, and exams, including designations such as P.Eng, P.Geo, or CPA
- Tuition support of 2,500 dollars per year
- Extended health and dental benefits, an employee assistance program, and a health and personal spending account covering items such as exercise classes, transit, daycare, and pet insurance
- Minimum of 3 weeks paid time off to start, plus an annual paid closure between Christmas and New Year
- 5 paid sick days in addition to other legislated leaves
- 2 weeks per year of work from almost anywhere for hybrid and remote employees
