IT TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST - SENIOR (JP1018)

URGENT CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Work Arrangement: Primarily onsite, with occasional work from home when approved

Contract Term: 1 year, with potential extension up to 12 months

Hours: 7.25 hours per day, 36.25 hours per week

Residency Requirement: The successful candidate must reside in Alberta for the duration of the contract.

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior IT Technical Business Analyst to provide business analysis, organizational change management, process improvement, business intelligence and application-support expertise. The role supports complex initiatives from planning and project initiation through implementation and post-deployment stabilization. The expected allocation is approximately 60% Business Analysis and 40% Change Management, depending on project needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops and business-needs assessments.
- Elicit, analyze, document and validate business, functional and technical requirements.
- Develop business cases, process maps, integrated plans, user stories, use cases, roadmaps, governance materials and executive briefing notes.
- Analyze current processes and recommend improvements to efficiency, service delivery and quality.
- Support application design, enhancement, testing, implementation, maintenance and post-deployment stabilization.
- Facilitate UAT, business-readiness assessments and implementation activities.
- Develop and execute organizational change-management, communication, engagement, resistance-management, coaching and training plans.
- Conduct stakeholder and change-impact assessments and monitor adoption, utilization and proficiency.
- Work with cross-functional business, technical, leadership and project teams.
- Present options, recommendations, risks and progress to senior leaders and decision makers.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

- 15 years developing integrated plans, portfolio and project reporting,



and communicating progress to senior executives.
- 15 years assisting clients to execute strategies involving technology, process, organizational design and IT operations.
- 15 years of project-management experience.
- 15 years developing project documentation for strategic, business-improvement and information-technology initiatives that satisfy legislative, legal and audit requirements.
- 15 years supporting and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external public users.
- 15 years working with Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban or comparable delivery methodologies.
- 15 years working with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions aligned with product vision and user needs.
- 15 years of senior leadership defining scope, goals, roadmaps, governance, briefing notes and business cases.
- 15 years leading project governance, change-management and communication activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Active PMP or equivalent project-management certification.
- Active Certified ScrumMaster certification.
- Certified Business Analyst (IIBA) or equivalent.
- Change-management certification such as Prosci, ACMP, CMI or APMG.
- Experience with Prosci ADKAR, ACMP, Kotter or equivalent change methodologies.
- Experience integrating complex IT systems, web services, multiple data sources and legacy solutions.
- Experience with public-sector or similarly regulated environments.
- Experience with business intelligence, reporting, performance measurement and continuous improvement.

- Remote work, when approved, must be performed within Canada and all data must remain in Canada.
