Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer to support digital product initiatives and create intuitive, accessible experiences for complex products.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong user-centered and interaction design expertise. You will collaborate with product, business, engineering, research, and design teams to translate user and business needs into effective digital experiences.

Location: Halifax, NS; Moncton, NB; or Stratford, PEI

Work mode: Onsite, 5 days per week

Your future duties and responsibilities

- Lead UX activities from discovery and concept development through implementation.
- Translate user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints into intuitive experiences.
- Create user flows, journey maps, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed designs.
- Facilitate design workshops and collaborate with product, business, engineering, and research teams.
- Apply research, usability testing, analytics, and stakeholder feedback to improve solutions.
- Design responsive experiences across web and mobile platforms.
- Work within established design systems and contribute reusable patterns and components.
- Partner with development teams to support accurate implementation of designs.
- Champion usability, accessibility, inclusive design, and UX best practices.
- Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders and contribute to strong UX practices across the team.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

- 6+ years of professional UX or Product Design experience.
- Robust portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX design, complex workflows, and problem-solving.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping/design tools.
- Strong experience with interaction design, information architecture, user flows, wireframing,



and prototyping.
- Experience designing responsive web and/or mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of usability, accessibility, and inclusive design.
- Experience incorporating user research and usability insights into design decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ability to independently manage UX activities on complex initiatives.

Assets
- Financial services, banking, fintech, investment, or wealth management experience.
- Experience with data-intensive applications, dashboards, transactional workflows, or complex enterprise applications.
- Experience with enterprise design systems and component libraries.
- Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and usability testing.
- Experience mentoring or supporting other designers.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000–$135,000. This role is a future opportunity.
